In the interest of the health of your livestock to reduce shipping stress we ship via UPS Priority Overnight service, unlike other online vendors that use Standard Overnight service---those extra hours in transit can make the difference between a happy healthy animal and a sick or dead animal.

$34.99 Flat Rate Shipping:
All orders are shipped at a flat rate of $34.99 for Priority Overnight shipping. UPS charges us a $15 fee for Satureday delivery.

With the increasing fuel costs at $34.99 we are subsidizing shipping costs in order to partner with our customers to reduce your total order costs. Looking at the average of hundreds of orders we shipped last year we found that the average cost to us for shipping each box was $63. By charging you only $34.99 we absorb an average of about $30 for each package we ship and can still afford to offer extremely low prices for our livestock. Charging a low flat rate for shipping is the most fair option for all our customers by dramatically reducing your total livestock costs.

Shipping fees are charged per box, virtually every order can be shipped in one box, in the rare event that more than one box is needed you will be notified prior to shipping.

Shipping on Live Rock
Shipping on live rock is charged at exact UPS rates. Please call and we can give you a price based on your zip code. Also, call and we can check to see if you may qualify for our zone 1 or 2 ground shipping rates which will greatly reduce your shipping costs. There is also a $10 box charge on all live rock orders per box, typically we can put 50 pounds in each box.

$15.99 Shipping Rate For Zone 1 Customers:
For customers within UPS shipping Zone 1 of our Maryland location you can have your livestock order shipped via UPS Ground service for a fee of ONLY $15.99, our guarantee is valid only if these orders are held for pick up at the UPS center and you pick up your order by noon, most are open for your pick up after 9AM, call us for details. UPS guarantees 1 day delivery within this zone, but can not guarantee delivery by a specific time so to guarantee live arrival you must pick up your order at the UPS center. Zone 1 includes most of Maryland and Delaware, many areas of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia---PLEASE call us for details, 877-887-5224.

You can also have your live rock shipped via ground delivery within our zone, this also applies to 2-day shipping, so if you are close to us your shipping costs on rock will be greatly reduced. Please call us for a quote. Live rock can be shipped directly to your home, no pick-up is required.

Again, Shipping fees are charged per box, virtually every order can be shipped in one box, in the rare event that more than one box is needed you will be notified prior to shipping.

We strongly recommend that you have your package held for your pick up at the local UPS center rather than delivered to your home. This greatly reduces the stress to your animals, lessening temperature abuse and rough handling. Acropora corals are especially sensitive to shipping stresses, we strongly recommend that when you order these corals that you have the package held for pick up at the local UPS facility. We will gladly locate and advise you of the closest UPS facility. You may pick up held packages after 9AM at most UPS locations.

Dry goods not combined with a livestock order are shipped UPS Ground Service and charged at actual cost for shipping. Small dry good orders can be added to the box and shipped with your livestock order at no additional cost.

Packing & Box Charges

We employ the highest standards in packing your order to insure the safe arrival for your livestock. We charge a standard $10 packing fee for each box. This includes all heat or ice packs, or any handling fees. We personally deliver all of our packages to UPS, avoiding any additional handling by drivers unaccustomed to handling livestock.
