Tonga Nuku Fusion rock is like a mixture of Tonga Branch and Tonga Eva/Kaelini rock together in one rock. It has great shapes that look like fused coral branches along with great caves and lots of unique crevices--every piece is unique. LOOKING FOR THE BEST SHAPED ROCK---ORDER THIS ROCK!!

We usually have lots of larger pieces available sized from large to jumbo show size, if you need some big pieces of rock just give us a call and we can hand-pick some big pieces to fit your specific needs.

This rock comes in fresh to us direct from Tonga and arrives with intense pink, red, and orange coralline coverage. PLEASE BE AWARE that some or most of this color recedes with curing and some pieces can look somewhat bare after full curing, but the coralline grows more intense within a few months.

Over the years we have imported and cured and sold tens of thousands of pounds of live rock, some coralline algae naturally dies off during curing and it does regrow over time if your tank conditions are correct--THIS HOLDS TRUE FOR ALL LIVE ROCK FROM ANY SOURCE. WITHIN 4-6 MONTHS ALL LIVE ROCK WILL BE ENCRUSTED WITH CORALLINE ALGAE IN YOUR TANK--IT IS BEST TO BUY LIVE ROCK BASED ON SHAPE AND NOT CORALLINE COVERAGE AS THIS WILL NATURALLY GROW ON THE ROCK OVER TIME IN YOUR TANK!!

This rock arrives with lots of colors and it is natural for all live rock to lose some or most of this color as it cures, some colors of coralline algae are more fragile than others such as the reds and oranges. Some shipments of this rock have more color than others, the main focus for this rock is that it has interesting shapes! Color in the form of coralline algae grows on rock over time if you keep your alkalinity and calcium levels at natural saltwater levels, 8 dKH and 425 calcium along with magnesium levels at 1300 or greater. Tonga Nuku Fusion live rock is held in our new rock curing system at our Maryland facility and then hand-picked especially for you by Dr. Mac according to your specifications. During curing we use intense protein skimming, carbon filtration, ozone, and regular water changes along with constant supplementation and monitoring, plus natural sunlight via Sola Tubes.

Shipping charges for live rock are based on exact UPS shipping rates. Please call for a quote and also to check to see if you are in our zone 1 or 2 ground range which will greatly reduce your shipping costs.  Our shopping cart will not add shipping for live rock orders. We do charge $10 per box. Shipping weight includes total box weight.

Once you place your order online we will call you to confirm your order and all charges, your credit card is not automatically charged until we confirm your order.
